Common Uses and Benefits: Tea tree oil, also known as melaleuca oil, is an essential oil distilled from the leaves of the native Australian plant Melaleuca alternifolia. Tea tree oil possesses antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, and antifungal properties. As a result, it is widely used in cosmetics, topical medicines, and household products for help treat acne, athlete’s foot: contact dermatitis, dandruff and cradle cap, nail fungus and improve oral health.
Directions: Our tea tree essential oil is safe for use on skin, with diffusers, or in room sprays.
For skin use, dilute with carrier oils to a 1-3% dilution ratio. Safe to use topically with children 2 years of age and older. A 1% or less dilution is recommended for kids' use. We suggest to do a patch test of the product first before use. Rub a dime-sized area of your forearm with the tea tree oil diluted in a carrier oil. If you don’t see any allergic reactions within 24 hours, it should be safe to use.
Breathe in your favorite essential oils by adding a few drops to an essential oil diffuser, personal diffuser locket or car diffuser in your home, office or car.
Enjoy an all- nature DIY home spray by just mixing 10 to 50 drops of essential oils in 6 oz distilled water with or without 2 oz witch hazel in a spray bottle. Shake well before use.
Cautions: Essence Planet 100% pure and undiluted essential oils are very potent, and should be used carefully. Do not use undiluted on skin. Do not use on broken skin or on abrasions. Discontinue use if skin irritation occurs. Consult a physician if pregnant, nursing, or under doctors' care. Avoid contact with eyes and keep out of children’s reach.
