Common Uses and Benefits: Lavender essential oil is one of the most popular and versatile essential oils used in aromatherapy. Distilled from the plant Lavandula Angustifolia, the oil promotes relaxation and is believed to treat anxiety, fungal infections, allergies, depression, insomnia, eczema, nausea, and menstrual cramps. It also helps in healing wounds, repelling insects, and in anti-inflammation. When applied topically, lavender oil can benefit the skin in numerous ways. It has the ability to lessen acne, help lighten skin, reduce wrinkles, soothe eczema and dry skin, and curb skin inflammations and ulcers. It can help heal burns, sunburn, scalds, bites, vaginal discharge, anal fissure etc. Lavender oil also improves hair health. For example, it promotes hair growth, prevents itchy scalp, dandruff, infections, and can even kill head lice. Lavender essential oil is much gentler in its action than most other essential oils, and sometimes can be safely applied directly to the skin as an antiseptic to help heal wounds, burns, etc.
Directions: Our lavender angustifolia essential oil is safe for use on skin, with diffusers, or in room sprays. For skin use, dilute with carrier oils to a 1-3% dilution ratio. Safe to use topically with children 2 years of age and older. A 1% or less dilution is recommended for kids' use. We suggest to do a patch test of the product first before use. Rub a dime-sized area of your forearm with the lavender oil diluted in a carrier oil. If you don’t see any allergic reaction within 24 hours, it should be safe to use. Breathe in your favorite essential oils by adding a few drops to an essential oil diffuser, personal diffuser locket, or car diffuser in your home, office, or car. Enjoy an all-nature DIY home spray by just mixing 10 to 50 drops of essential oils in 6 oz of distilled water with or without 2 oz of witch hazel in a spray bottle. Shake well before use.
